The Southern District UBC Training Trust Fund is considering hiring a full-time Interior Systems instructor to deliver Interior Systems craft training for apprentices and journeyman at the Atlanta GA training center. There will be some travel to our other facilities in the SDTTF jurisdictional area to assist the other staff at times of need. The wage for this salary position shall be based off the local CBA rate for a 40-hour work week, 52 weeks per year. A substantial benefit package along with paid holidays, vacation and sick days is also included.
If selected, the applicant must be able to assume the position as early as April 28th. All resumes must be received by 4:30 p.m. EST on April 18th. Interviews to be held on April 25th at the Atlanta GA training center. Applicant’s resumes will be reviewed, and selected applicants will be notified of time for their interview.
Basic requirements for the position are as follows:
- Minimum of 5 continuous years of experience in the craft
- Candidate classified as Journeyman with Good Standing Status on Union dues
- Reside within a reasonable commute of the Atlanta training center within the area served by the Southern District Training Trust Fund
- Extensive working knowledge of the craft
- Working knowledge in basic computer software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook…etc.)
- Bi-lingual
- Good communication skills
- Professional attitude
- Have a valid driver’s license
- No felony records
Although not required, other factors that may be considered are:
- Candidate served a carpenter/interior system apprenticeship in an approved registered apprentice program
- Previous experience in craft instruction
- “Train the Trainer” qualifications from the UBC International Training Center
- Employer references
- Individual craft training history
